Job Title: Data Scientist – Energy Tech

We are seeking a Data Scientist to join a fast-growing Energy Tech startup that is building critical infrastructure to help accelerate the transition to net-zero and underpin a decarbonized energy system. Backed by leading VCs and Angel Investors (investors in companies like Meta, BeReal, and Slack), this company is working on greenfield solutions that optimize energy usage and help reduce carbon emissions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and implement greenfield solutions from scratch using machine learning to optimize energy usage in real-time.
• Develop predictive models to balance energy needs and shift electricity consumption to greener, more cost-effective times.
• Use Python and data science expertise to develop scalable and impactful solutions for the energy sector.
• Collaborate with a tight-knit team of engineers, scientists, and business operations to build the future of sustainable energy.
• Work closely with visionary co-founders on high-impact projects in a dynamic startup environment.

Qualifications:

• Strong engineering background with hands-on experience in data science and Python development.
• Proven experience building greenfield solutions and contributing to 0-to-1 projects.
• Passion for renewable energy, sustainability, and decarbonization solutions.
• Experience in machine learning, predictive modeling, and real-time data optimization is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
