This is a high-paying opportunity for an experienced Senior Commissioning Agent.


Job Title: Senior Commissioning Agent

We are seeking a Senior Commissioning Agent with extensive experience in commissioning and energy services, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of building systems and a proven track record in construction administration, retro-commissioning, and energy audits.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform design reviews, including OPR, BOD, plans, and specifications.
  • Review submittals and shop drawings for accuracy.
  • Prepare commissioning plans, specifications, checklists, and functional performance tests.
  • Coordinate and lead on-site commissioning meetings, field inspections, and system testing.
  • Manage construction phase services such as submittal reviews, issue logs, field reports, and RFI responses.
  • Execute functional testing of MEP systems and controls.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project success.
  • Document field surveys, including in crawl spaces and above ceilings, and prepare detailed reports on existing conditions.

Qualifications:

  • Significant controls experience and at least one of the following:
    • 7+ years of commercial construction experience in HVAC, controls, or electrical system installation.
    • 7+ years of MEP commissioning, energy audits, or retro-commissioning experience.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, MEP engineering concepts, and installation best practices.
  • Familiarity with applicable design codes and standards (ICC, ASHRAE, ACG, NEBB, etc.).
  • Field experience using data loggers and air flow measurement equipment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and mentor less experienced staff.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with clients and project teams.
  • Commissioning certifications (ACG, BCA, NEBB, ASHRAE) or Professional Engineering license preferred.

Work Environment & Travel:
