This is a high-paying opportunity for an experienced Professional Structural Engineer.
Job Title: Professional Structural Engineer
We are seeking a mid-to-senior level licensed Professional Structural Engineer to join a team of multi-disciplinary experts. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in structural system behavior, forensic engineering, failure analysis, and construction litigation. This role involves evaluating residential, commercial, industrial, and marine structures, with a focus on determining cause and origin of failures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct field investigations to document as-built conditions and damage to structural systems caused by natural events (wind, water, fire, earth movement) or human-induced factors (design and construction errors).
- Utilize building codes, technical knowledge of structural behavior, and construction practices to establish repair scope recommendations and perform cause-and-origin analyses.
- Evaluate design drawings and technical documentation for structural systems, including steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and building envelopes.
- Prepare detailed reports, communicate findings to clients, and interface with code officials and contractors.
- Manage multiple project assignments, ensuring timely execution and adherence to budget.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
- Be available for travel on short notice as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- 5+ years of structural engineering experience in design or related fields.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) through NCEES examination (multiple state registrations preferred).
- Knowledge of national building and construction codes (ICC, ASCE, AISC, ACI, NDS).
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience in litigation support, including expert testimony, depositions, and mediation/arbitration, is desirable.
- Field experience and understanding of multiple types of construction is a plus.

- Salary: £80K – £120K, commensurate with experience.
