Job Title: Principal Engineer – Design
We are seeking a Principal Engineer – Design to join the rapidly growing Data Center Solutions (DCS) business unit. This exciting role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge products deployed by top-tier server/storage OEMs and hyperscale data centers. The successful candidate will contribute to designing complex digital integrated circuits that help power the next digital age.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design complex digital integrated circuits at the block, subsystem, or device level (100K to 50M+ gates) using Verilog and System Verilog.
- Define subsystem/block feature sets and document design and implementation details.
- Support emulation, ASIC lab validation, lab debug, and logic modification as needed.
- Collaborate with architects and global design/verification teams to resolve issues and justify design decisions.
- Analyze and implement design protocols, particularly related to storage and computer interface standards such as PCI-Express.
- Debug and resolve EDA tool issues or design-related problems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience: BS with 5+ years or MS with 2+ years of related experience.
- Strong experience in RTL Design using Verilog and System Verilog.
- In-depth understanding of ASIC design flows, including simulation, debug, logic synthesis, static timing analysis, and layout.
- Knowledge of AHB/AXI bus protocols and PCI-Express is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in design and verification tools such as Synopsys Design Compiler and Cadence Incisive.
- Scripting skills in csh, bash, perl, python, tcl, etc.
- Experience with DFT and low-power methodologies is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
- Strong teamwork and time management skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary: $86,000 – $186,000 annually, depending on experience and location.
