This is a high-paying opportunity for an experienced Senior Automation Engineer in Denver, CO (Hybrid).


Job Title: Senior Automation Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to support an industrial client in Denver, CO. This is a hybrid role requiring 4 days per week in the office. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automation solutions, intelligent products, and MV/LV switchgear applications.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and interpret client specifications to develop project Functional Designs, drawings, and test documentation.
  • Configure relays using manufacturers such as SEL, GE, Siemens, and Beckwith.
  • Design and configure SCADA systems with tools like WonderWare InTouch, Allen Bradley Factory Talk, Copa-Data Zenon, Siemens WinCC, and SEL RTAC HMI.
  • Utilize industrial communication protocols such as Modbus TCP/IP, IEC61850, and DNP 3.0.
  • Develop PLC-based electrical system monitoring and control solutions.
  • Document and participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and support system commissioning activities.
  • Provide technical guidance to internal and external stakeholders, including after-sales support.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and 7+ years of experience.
  • Knowledge of Automation and Control Systems, Power Systems, or Protective Relaying.
  • Hands-on experience with PLC control systems and protective relaying is a plus.
  • Proficiency in producing technical documentation and reports.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to customer sites (e.g., refineries, utility substations, offshore platforms).
  • Experience working in both office and manufacturing floor environments.

Compensation & Benefits:
