Job Title: Senior Actuarial Analyst
We are seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join a fast-growing insurance technology company specializing in rental property insurance for landlords. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to help shape industry-leading rating approaches, expand product reach, and drive innovation in property insurance pricing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the growth and profitability of DP products nationwide.
- Develop industry-leading pricing, exposure management, and capital modeling approaches.
- Enhance existing product pricing and expand products into new geographies.
- Analyze key profitability drivers such as loss ratios, frequency/severity trends, retention, and actuarial indications.
- Manage rate filings across multiple states to achieve target returns.
- Implement data-driven action plans to improve performance.
- Drive innovation by introducing new, data-centric pricing solutions.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in insurance, with experience managing property products (preferably personal lines – HO or DP).
- Education: Pursuing actuarial accreditation with the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS), with at least 3 actuarial exams passed.
- Builder Mindset: Proven ability to take projects from inception to completion, with a bias toward action.
- Technical Expertise: Strong technical and analytical skills; exceptional tech-savviness.
- Hunger to Grow: Desire to join a fast-paced, early-stage tech company and accelerate personal growth.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: $100,000 – $140,000 per year + equity in the company.
- Time Off: 3 weeks PTO plus six federal holidays.
