The Role:

We are seeking a Software Engineer to help expand a thriving open-source ecosystem in AI/ML/computer vision. This role is perfect for someone passionate about open source, building innovative tools, and contributing to the success of developers globally. You will collaborate with a high-caliber team to build and enhance open-source projects, write technical content, and shape the future of computer vision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Expand and maintain open-source projects with 40k+ GitHub stars, 1M+ monthly PIP downloads, and 500k+ datasets.
• Develop tools and integrations that simplify computer vision for developers.
• Contribute to existing projects and create new solutions to fill gaps in the AI/ML ecosystem.
• Write clean, scalable Python and JavaScript code.
• Review contributors’ pull requests, write documentation, and create demos.
• Engage with open-source communities, promote projects through blog posts and social media, and help foster collaboration.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to align open-source tools with the core product roadmap.
• Stay on the cutting edge of AI/ML and developer tools, experimenting with new technologies.

Who You Are:

• Strong believer in the power of open source and passionate about making computer vision accessible.
• Experience building and leading open-source projects or contributing regularly.
• Technical generalist with a solid background in computer science or a related field.
• Skilled communicator who can work cross-functionally across Product and Marketing.
• Excellent project planning, development roadmap experience, and task estimation.
• Strong knowledge of Git, Python, PyTorch, Docker, OpenCV, NumPy, GitHub Actions, PyPI, and Linux.
• Bonus: Familiarity with JavaScript, OpenVINO, TensorRT, TensorFlow, ONNX, and CUDA.

What You’ll Receive:

• Competitive Salary: $175,000 to $190,000 (plus equity).
