A fast-growing Property Development and Investment Management firm is looking for a Financial Controller with solid property sector experience. If you have a high-caliber candidate with expertise in real estate fund and project accounting, this is a fantastic career move for them!

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with the CFO, overseeing financial operations across multiple projects and funds. The position is key in driving financial strategy and ensuring financial practices align with the company’s growth ambitions.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting

Oversee financial reporting for all SPVs/projects, managing P&Ls and balance sheets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Manage fund reporting with external administrators and accountants, including quarterly management accounts, year-end accounts, investor updates, and audits.

Work with external accountancy firms to ensure accurate and timely invoice and account processing.

Compliance

Ensure debt financial covenants are met for projects.

Handle various regulatory and statutory reporting requirements for funds and project companies.

Manage the investor KYC process.

Cost Control

Oversee invoice processing and payments while ensuring cost efficiency.

Review and challenge costs where necessary, ensuring alignment with budget.

Financial Planning & Analysis

Develop and maintain accurate budgets and cash flow forecasts for all projects and group companies.

Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to support investment decisions.

Contribute to strategic initiatives that enhance finance operations and funding activities.

Tax Management

Work with tax advisors to optimize tax structures at the project, company, and fund levels.

Desired Skills & Experience:

✔️ ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification

✔️ Experience in real estate fund and project accounting

✔️ Strong IT skills, particularly in accounting software (Xero, Sage) and Excel

✔️ Stakeholder management experience

✔️ Excellent analytical and presentation skills
