We are currently looking for a Senior Information Systems Security Specialist to join a dynamic and high-profile organisation. This role is pivotal in providing expert security guidance, risk analysis, and advice on information security architecture across multiple projects. The successful candidate will have experience in risk assessment, IT health checks, vulnerability management, and security compliance within HMG, MoD, or similar regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialist security advice to project managers and risk owners on all aspects of information security.
• Assess and identify risks to information systems and recommend solutions to mitigate those risks.
• Develop and oversee security architecture, ensuring compliance with HMG, MoD, and industry best practices.
• Conduct security design reviews for projects to ensure alignment with the overall security strategy.
• Facilitate formal accreditation processes for MoD and corporate systems.
• Oversee and approve IT health checks and vulnerability assessments, ensuring robust testing programmes are in place.
• Work with supply chain and business functions to assess and manage information risk effectively.

Candidate Requirements:

• SC Clearance is mandatory.
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent certification.
• CESG Certified Professional (CCP) in SIRA, Accreditor, or IA Architect.
• Strong experience with methodologies for identifying, assessing, and managing information risk.
• ISO 27001 Lead Auditor or Lead Implementer certification or similar.
• Expertise in security architecture and understanding of risk tolerance in high-security environments.
