We are on the lookout for top-tier Senior Designers to submit for an exciting opportunity in architectural metalwork and technical design. This role offers a structured training program in Reading for 6-9 months before relocating permanently to New York. Candidates will have the chance to work on cutting-edge projects with an expanding international team.


About the Role:

As a Senior Designer, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality design solutions, managing project coordination, and leading a team of junior designers. Working closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams, you will ensure that all designs meet technical standards, compliance requirements, and project goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Design: Create detailed designs using AutoCAD and Revit, ensuring seamless integration with project specifications.
  • Project Coordination: Manage and issue design information, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and support junior designers, promoting professional development and high performance.
  • Client Engagement: Conduct site surveys, attend factory visits, and represent the company at client meetings.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all designs adhere to industry standards, legislation, and internal quality policies.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Collaborate on sustainable practices, promoting principles of reduce, reuse, and recycle across projects.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: Proven background in technical and architectural design, preferably within construction or manufacturing sectors.
  • Software Proficiency: Strong skills in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage time effectively, and take initiative.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with clients and contractors.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to interpret architectural details, specifications, and compliance documentation to resolve challenges efficiently.
