About the Role

With an annual turnover of $4bn, this contractor is renowned for its expertise in commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, life sciences, infrastructure, and sports and leisure projects, with project values ranging from $50m to $100m+.

We are hiring Senior Design Managers for the Western Region (Vancouver) and the Eastern Region (Toronto). Both cities are highly ranked as some of the World’s Most Liveable Cities, offering an excellent lifestyle, family-friendly environment, and a vibrant construction market.

The role comes with a relocation package ranging between $15K–$25K (tax-free), depending on the number of people relocating.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design management of large-scale design and build projects, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and regulations.
• Liaise with pre-construction and site teams to monitor project progress and ensure cost-effective design solutions.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and successful project delivery.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the company’s design policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance and value engineering to optimize project outcomes.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for experienced Senior Design Managers with a strong track record in managing large-scale design and build projects.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Experience working on projects valued at £15m+.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor.
• Willing and able to relocate to Canada.
• Knowledge of design and construction processes and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
