About the Role

The Senior Embedded Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining embedded systems for innovative technology projects. Working closely with hardware engineers, software engineers, and project managers, the successful candidate will contribute to firmware development, rigorous testing, and technical documentation, all while driving high-performance solutions for advanced applications.

The role demands strong expertise in C/C++, RTOS, and ARM-based microcontrollers (STM32), with hands-on experience in debugging tools and communication protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and test embedded firmware for advanced directed-energy systems.
  • Create and implement test cases to ensure system functionality and performance.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation and reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software solutions.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for an experienced and creative embedded systems engineer with at least 5 years’ experience in firmware development. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in C/C++ programming, STM32 (Cortex-M ARM-based microcontrollers), and real-time operating systems (RTOS).

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in embedded firmware development.
  • Proficiency in C/C++, RTOS, and STM32 (ARM-based) microcontrollers.
  • Experience with communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN).
  • Familiarity with Linux environments and debugging tools.
  • Experience with VS Code, STM32Cube IDE, Git, and basic electronics lab equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience in agile development.
  • Basic soldering skills (preferred).
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields.
