About the Role

The Senior Information Security Officer will work closely with senior leadership, including the UK COO, CTO, and Head of Information Security, to manage the security aspects of strategic projects. The successful candidate will deliver assigned security projects, build measurable, secure solutions, and proactively address emerging threats. This is a hands-on role requiring both technical expertise and project management skills to ensure the business remains secure while enabling innovation and growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the security portions of strategic projects, ensuring goals are achieved on time and within budget.
• Deliver UK Security projects, enhancing controls and mitigating new risks.
• Act as a security consultant for business goals and strategic plans outside the CTO function.
• Build secure, measurable solutions that transition into Business as Usual (BAU) operations.
• Provide technical consultancy on third-party risk for specific solutions.
• Proactively investigate new threats and propose solutions to address them.
• Collaborate with project teams and key stakeholders to ensure security best practices are integrated into business operations.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive information security professional with a strong project delivery background. The ideal candidate will have experience implementing information security controls across various technologies and possess relevant security qualifications.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in Information Security, such as a Security Architect or Security Project Lead.
• Strong customer focus with excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Project delivery experience, ideally within large, complex organisations.
• Relevant security certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent experience.
• Additional technical certifications such as CEH, OSCP, GIAC, or penetration testing experience.
• Knowledge of SABSA, SANS, or other technical architecture frameworks.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (SAFE, Scrum, etc.).
• Experience in data protection, risk management, or legal and HR compliance (desirable).
