About the Role
The Senior Field Service Engineer will provide high-level technical support for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of sophisticated EV charging equipment and systems at customer sites and remotely. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of EV charging infrastructure, working closely with cross-functional teams and some of the world’s largest EV operators.

The position requires hands-on expertise and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues while maintaining compliance with OEM technical specifications and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the setup, commissioning, and configuration of EV charging equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and technical specifications.
- Conduct routine and preventive maintenance to maximize equipment performance and uptime.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, both remotely and on-site, minimizing downtime for customers.
- Provide expert-level technical support to internal staff and customers, offering solutions to complex technical problems.
- Collaborate with OEMs on train-the-trainer programs for internal and third-party technicians.
- Create and maintain technical processes, training documentation, and knowledge base articles.
- Perform installation, upgrades, and maintenance of EV charge points.
- Ensure adherence to KPIs, service level agreements (SLAs), and operational level agreements (OLAs).
- Participate in after-hours activities, such as testing, upgrades, and break-fix incidents, to ensure continuous service.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are seeking a highly technical and experienced engineer with hands-on expertise in troubleshooting, electrical installations, and EV charging infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills and a strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Qualified Electrician with proven experience in electrical installations.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical support, field services, or managed services.
- Extensive experience in the EV industry or related energy fields.
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation.
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Technical expertise in electrical systems and products related to electric vehicles and charging infrastructure.
- Ability to analyse, diagnose, and resolve complex technical problems.
