About the Role

The successful candidate will join a highly respected construction company’s Healthcare and Laboratory Projects Division. This team is responsible for delivering bespoke, high-value projects for hospitals, research labs, and medical facilities. The Senior Project Manager will oversee the delivery of a prestigious £40M fit-out project for a multinational specialist manufacturer. This project includes state-of-the-art laboratories, ISO clean rooms, and high-end office facilities with a modern, distinctive design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full lifecycle of projects—from inception and design development to procurement, construction, and final delivery.
  • Ensure robust quality management systems are in place and meet service excellence standards.
  • Manage project budgets, identifying risks and mitigating challenges to maintain financial health.
  • Build and manage high-performing project teams and develop strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely delivery of milestones while monitoring and reporting progress throughout all phases of the project.
  • Collaborate with design and consultancy teams to ensure compliance with healthcare and laboratory standards.
  • Support long-term development and sustainability within the business unit, driving positive change and holding others accountable for maintaining high standards.

We’re looking for senior-level project managers with substantial experience in delivering complex property or infrastructure projects, particularly in healthcare, laboratories, or specialist fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will be an inspiring leader with technical expertise and commercial acumen.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Membership in RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE, or equivalent professional organisation.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale project delivery.
  • Strong commercial and financial management skills.
  • Experience leading and coordinating diverse project teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to develop long-term relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Awareness of sustainability and carbon reduction practices in construction projects.
