Job Title: Senior Security Engineer – Investment Management

We are seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join a tech-driven Investment Management firm in London. This role offers the opportunity to work directly alongside the newly appointed Head of Security Engineering and take a lead role in building out a cloud-native infrastructure security capability.

This is a highly technical, hands-on role, where you will assess, threat model, design, configure, and implement security solutions across the firm's cutting-edge cloud infrastructure. The firm is undergoing a major Tech Transformation, offering a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact in one of the UK's most renowned financial institutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct security threat modelling, risk assessments, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Architect, implement, and support security-focused tools and services within a cloud-native environment.
  • Collaborate with Development and DevOps teams to embed security within CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code solutions.
  • Automate security processes wherever possible and promote a security-first culture across the organization.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Significant experience in Cloud Security Engineering within DevSecOps environments.
  • Expertise in AWS Security, including implementation of AWS Well-Architected Security Pillar.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Containers, and CI/CD concepts.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based IAM/PAM and authentication frameworks.
  • Advanced coding and scripting skills – expertise in Python, Terraform, Java preferred.
  • Hands-on experience building, implementing, and fine-tuning security tooling for cloud environments.
